96 cents of every dollar raised through grassroots fundraising campaigns administered by NTAF is used to pay for critical but uninsured expenses related to transplantation and catastrophic injury.
(Due to service fees by credit card companies, NTAF is obliged to retain an additional three cents on the dollar from credit card contributions.)
In 26 years, NTAF has helped more than 4,000 patients, their families and communities raise $64 million for medical care.
2008 Impact Study
In June 2008, NTAF conducted a survey of our patients and their caregivers to gauge our program's effectiveness. All responses were collected and reviewed by the independent evaluation group we retained to assist us in this endeavor, the Center for Outcome Analysis.
The results we received were quite favorable, with the majority of both patients and caregivers reporting a great improvement in 29 different quality of life categories.
