Chris Franks

Hi, my name is Richard Sylvester and my family and I are close friends of the Franks family. On the evening of September 26th, Chris, John and their entire family’s lives were changed for ever. That night after having dinner with family and friends, Chris (Nana) Franks, slipped and fell while leaning out of her car and was severely injured. Although she fell on to grass, the impact was so severe that Chris broke her neck. Chris is paralyzed from the neck down (C-1, C-2) and on a ventilator. Chris has been at UCI Irvine for 35 days now and is steadily making progress. Soon she will be transferred to a rehab facility where she will receive care and training for both Chris and the entire family. The family's ultimate goal is to bring Chris home and to do that they need all our help. The family and friends of Chris Franks are raising money to help pay for the uninsured medical expenses associated with this catastrophic injury.
