Sota Magnetic Pulser Review

The Sota Magnetic Pulser is one of the most popular PEMF devices on the market.

But is it that popular for good reason?

I aim to answer this question by comparing it with my favorite PEMF mat, called the HealthyLine Platinum and you can read my detailed review of this mat here.

If you feel that you need a more compelling reason to buy a PEMF mat in the first place, stick around, as well.

I will share some really useful information about PEMF health benefits of which you should be aware, and that will probably help you make up your mind about this form of therapy.

Let’s first take a look at how these health benefits work.

PEMF Benefits Summary

PEMF therapy is a completely natural form of therapy that has been increasingly gaining in popularity over the past several years.

This is due to the fact that there are more and more affordable PEMF devices on the market, but also because of the scientific research that is available to prove its positive effects.

PEMF devices use the same principle to provide us with health benefits that the planet Earth uses to protect us from harmful radiation – magnetic fields.

A series of copper coils emit PEMF waves that stimulate our cells.

They respond by storing these waves as energy, which allows them to perform their functions more successfully.

PEMF therapy brings our cells back into balance, and prevents many diseases.

When our cells’ mitochondria are not properly charged with energy, they swell up and lose their ability to heal themselves.

If you have many cells like this in your body, you will experience inflammation, pain, poor wound and bone healing, and so on.

PEMF therapy will also help you feel better psychologically.

Studies show that this treatment is very beneficial for patients struggling with depression, as it can boost the effects of antidepressants and diminish their side effects.

Another important effect of PEMF therapy is that it improves blood flow.

It does this in two ways: Through vasodilatation, and through improving the charge of red blood cells.

These two effects combined accelerate the exchange of oxygen in the tissue by as much as 400-800%.

These are just some of the basic principles of PEMF therapy.

Stick around for a more detailed account later on in the article.

Sota Magnetic Pulser Review

The Sota Magnetic Pulser is a PEMF device designed for local PEMF stimulation.

It comes with a control unit, and a paddle applicator that is very simple to use.

Because of its design, it is perfect for treating specific places in the body such as a variety of muscles and joints.

It produces bursts of very high-intensity PEMF waves, which makes it a pretty unique product.

Its function could be compared to the way in which a camera flash works.

It charges for a couple of seconds, and then releases a strong, instantaneous burst of energy.

Since this device is a magnetic pulser, it does not have a real waveform or a constant frequency, like the Healthyline Platinum Mat does.

Instead, the Sota Magnetic Pulser “attacks” the problematic area with a “shot” of frequencies that are around 4.7 Hz.

Because the intensity of these energy bursts is quite high, the Sota Magnetic Pulser is perfect for health problems and injuries that are hidden inside the body or behind bony tissues.

If you are suffering from joint pain, muscle injuries, swelling, scars that didn’t heal properly, wounds, etc., this device will probably be able to help you.

All you need to do is turn it on, choose the desired setting, and place the paddle applicator over the area that you want to treat.

Hold it steadily above the area, since the bursts of PEMF energy only happen once every several seconds.

You can choose two main settings that the Sota Magnetic Pulser offers:

  • Regular mode: 6000 Gauss intensity, which penetrates 9 inches into the body.
  • Fast mode: 2500 Gauss intensity, which penetrates 7 inches into the body.

The Sota Magnetic Pulser also comes with certain accessories:

  • A carrying case
  • A product manual
  • A wall adapter for international use

This device is quite cheap – it costs only around $350.

However, even though it is inexpensive, it has some disadvantages.

It only has two types of settings, and it does not produce a constant waveform.

Moreover, you cannot treat your whole body, but just locally-targeted areas.

So, you should determine your priorities before you go ahead and buy it.

HealthyLine Platinum Mat Review

At the end of our review of the Sota Magnetic Pulser, I’ve mentioned that it had some disadvantages.

If you are looking for a way to work around these disadvantages, you should consider buying the HealthyLine Platinum Mat.

It’s a better device compared to the previous one, in that it has more flexible settings, it produces a constant waveform, and you can choose whether you want to heal your whole body or just some targeted areas where you know there are problems.

Not only it produces constant waveform, you can also change waveform type and intensity, which is a high-end feature available only on medical grade PEMF devices that cost $10,000+.

The HealthyLine Platinum has other advantages as well, both compared to the Sota device, and other devices on the market.

One of these is that Healthyline’s mat is not just a PEMF device but also an FIR mat, and additionally it produces negative ions.

So, it has a combination of features that you would usually get from three separate devices.

Moreover, there aren’t many PEMF mats available on the market that provide the health benefits of semiprecious stones.

This is exactly what Healthyline does.

Their Platinum mats are filled with tourmaline, amethyst, and obsidian, a combination that provides a unique set of health advantages.

You’d think that that would make the mat extremely uncomfortable to sit or lie on, but you’d be wrong.

It’s very soft and gentle because of the amethyst, which is present in small pieces and has a pleasant texture.

The Healthyline Platinum Mat not only uses natural means of healing, but also natural materials to provide you with that healing.

It is made of 100% non-toxic materials, which is amazing for anyone who has sensitive skin and suffers from frequent rash.

If you buy this mat but you do not feel completely satisfied for any reason, you can always return it within 45 days of buying, and get your money back.

If you do decide to own it, it will come with a one-year warranty period and a five-year extended warranty.

PEMF Health Benefits

Talking about the features of various PEMF devices does not do them justice without presenting the scientific evidence of their health benefits.

That’s exactly what I aim to do in this section of the article.

Luckily, there are more than 70 years of research available which have resulted in a multitude of studies.

So, let’s take a closer look at some of the most important ones to date.

Slows or Prevents the Development of Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s disease is the most widespread type of dementia today.

It mostly affects people above the age of 65, and can progress slowly or quickly.

The symptoms may be subtle in the beginning, which is why many people do not take action to control the disease until it is too late.

Canadian scientists conducted a study in 2010, at the University of Toronto, aiming to prove whether PEMF therapy could help patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

They determined that PEMF stimulation to the hypothalamus and fornix significantly altered the neurophysiological activity in the brain.

This told us that PEMF could possibly slow down the progression or even prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. (1)

Improves Impaired Blood Flow

We can suffer from poor blood flow for many reasons. Whatever they be, the sensations that it causes are never pleasant.

We can experience mild sensations such as cold hands and feet, or feel tingling or numbing.

Poor blood flow can also lead to more serious health conditions.

Luckily for those of us who are suffering from this symptom, PEMF therapy can help.

Scientists at Wake Forest University proved that PEMF therapy causes vasodilatation and, in that way, promotes increased blood flow locally.

This allows more blood to reach the affected area, and feed it with oxygen and nutrients. (2)

Keeps Atrial Fibrillation in Check

Atrial fibrillation is caused by the sinus code misfiring, which is the part of our heart that regulates our heartbeat.

Sometimes, this causes just uncomfortable palpitations, but it can also lead to much more serious health problems if left untreated for a long period.

At times this symptom can even be life-threatening.

In 2015, a study was completed with the intent to prove the positive effects of PEMF therapy on atrial fibrillation.

The results of the study showed that PEMF stimulation could regulate the work of the sinus code, and in that way control the heartbeat and reduce the symptoms of atrial fibrillation. (3)

Alleviates Pain

Anyone suffering from chronic muscle or joint pain should think twice before resorting to taking painkillers on a regular basis.

They can be useful, but also quite harmful if taken over a prolonged period.

That is why you should consider other, natural sources of help.

One such is PEMF therapy. This was proven in a study conducted in 1993 at the International Pain Research Institute.

The study was performed on women with pelvic pain issues who received PEMF stimulation at daily, regular intervals for an extended period.

At the end of the study, all of these patients reported significant improvement in their condition due to PEMF stimulation. (4)

Helps Treat Glaucoma

Glaucoma is another health condition where patients fail to take action until the disease has progressed too far.

Glaucoma can lead to vision impairment, or to a complete loss of vision, if it ends up being ignored for too long.

A group of Russian scientists conducted an important study in 1990 that proved PEMF therapy could help prevent or relieve symptoms of glaucoma.

Glaucoma causes the eye pressure to rise and press on the optic nerve, causing neural damage.

PEMF stimulation successfully regulated the flow of fluids within the eye, and in that way reduced this harmful pressure. (5)

Improves Wound Healing

Wound healing is a big problem for people suffering from diabetes.

These patients often have wounds which do not heal for a long time, and which sometimes lead to serious infections or even a gangrene that requires amputation.

That is why it is important to find a way to increase the pace at which such wounds heal.

That is exactly what a group of Chinese scientists did in Hong Kong in 2014, when they took a closer look at the effects of PEMF stimulation on wound healing.

They conducted the study on rats, which were separated into two groups.

Both groups were given identical wounds and suffered from diabetes, but only one group received PEMF stimulation.

At the end of the study, the PEMF group showed much more successful wound healing than the control group. (6)

Slows, or Prevents, the Development of Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is an illness with many faces. That is why it is often very difficult to diagnose successfully and quickly.

If a person is in a risk group to suffer from multiple sclerosis, it is important that they take some preventative measures even before certain symptoms appear.

One important symptom that often gets overlooked is fatigue.

Most MS patients suffer from high levels of fatigue.

A study was conducted in 2003 which showed that PEMF stimulation could lower fatigue levels in MS patients, thus significantly improving their overall quality of life. (7)

Treats Scleroderma Symptoms

Dr. Pawluk conducted an important study to determine the effects of PEMF therapy on scleroderma.

This is a very aggressive skin disease, which affects its levels of collagen, causing the skin to become thick, rough, and to break easily.

In his study, Dr. Pawluk came to the conclusion that PEMF stimulation improved the main symptoms of scleroderma by amazing 95%, which offers new, strong hope to all patients struggling with this complicated disease.
